**Position requires an in-scope TS/SCI clearance.**

 

Provide launch security programmatic support including:

a. Classification management support to review national space policy and policy for effects on current classification guidance. Developing, reviewing, revising and distributing launch security classification guidance documents.
b. Periodic assessments of the effectiveness of, and adjustments to, launch base security protection baselines and operations security activities.
c. Overall Information Security (INFOSEC) Automated Information Systems (ATS) program and requirements per Headquarters overarching policy. Developing AIS-related OSL local security policies and procedures. Provide security engineering and configuration management and monitoring for managed/operated ATS systems. These unique launch support systems include: 3DMSS, OLMS, RFDCS, and FAMS. Prepare and maintain AIS Security Plans. Perform system risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for systems. Identify, develop, and recommend security measures to counter or mitigate system vulnerabilities and risk. Preparing and providing AIS security training for OSL personnel.
d. Performing physical security certification and accreditation for all launch facilities. Develop and maintain facility accreditation documentation for launch facilities, systems, and processes. Verify security design and installation standards are met related to facility protection including SCIF design, compliance to AT/FP and host protection standards, facility infrastructure, facility support systems, security systems, and access control for physical protection of assets. 

e. Draft, coordinate, and administer the Security Implementation Plan (SIP) for launch mission support operations. This includes the Program Security requirements compliance matrix and Mission Unique Security Training Requirements. Provide security support to payload processing planning and activities including participation in various onsite as well as offsite programmatic meetings (i.e. GOWG, Pre-Departure Briefings, Program Reviews, and Consent to Launch briefings). Provide direct support to ongoing processing activities and operations including Payload Processing Facility activation; launch complex facility securing activities, personnel clearance/access verification, security systems testing and operational verification, flight and mission support hardware delivery and moves, Day of Launch activities and Payload Recovery Team participation. Serve as local PSO Security Subject Matter Expert in the PSO's absence. Support new entrant's security program development to ensure compliance with  guidance.

f. Develop Syllabus and Conduct Launch Unique Security Training including Launch Base Specific Training at all Locations and Contractor Factory Locations. Training spans unclassified mission partners, Residents, and Program Personnel. Classification levels range from unclassified to SCI and Compartmented Programs and will vary from program to program. Training for OSL residents is conducted annually as a Security Refresher or upon major changes to Security policies or guidelines. 

g. In conjunction with Training, coordinate and support the running of the Program Security Launch Course (PSL). Manage updates to the Program Security Launch Course (PSL) material as well as participate in the conduct of the class as Support Matter Experts (SME).
h. Draft the Security Assessment Section in support of the consent to Launch Brief for all Missions.
i. Provide Security support to ensure applicable security requirements and compliance documents are incorporated as part of the OSL contracts process, e.g. DD- 254 and Security Documents Checklist preparations
J. Reviewing security documentation and comment on submitted security documentation, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with federal, DoD, state and local requirements.

k. Review best practices and recommend ways to apply those practices to security requirements.

l. Develop and maintain a program by program set of security requirements. Assist to validate and negotiate appropriate program security requirements.

m. Provide support in the development and maintenance of local securitypolicies. Provide technical and programmatic support necessary to assist in the conduct of security investigations and assessments.

n. Provide security inputs into the engineering design, and acquisition process of new and enhanced/upgraded payloads including support for Special Access Programs.
o. Assist the PSO to perform security surveillance of satellite launch readiness processing operations.
p. Draft and Coordinate appropriate updates to the Launch Information Protection Guidance (IPG) to include LV interfaces and information. Develop Program Protection Plan (PPP) as appropriate.

 

 

Researches, monitors and analyzes intelligence data and makes recommendations based on that data.

 1. Provides analysis and research for national security, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability.

 2. Prepares assessments of current threats and trends based on the sophisticated collection, research and analysis of classified and open source information.

 3. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operational success.

 4. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.

 5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

 6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

 7. Participates in special projects as required

Education Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or military discipline.

 Master's Degree preferred.

Qualifications 10-15 years of related experience supporting intelligence operations.
