**Position requires an in-scope TS/SCI clearance.**

 

Support all levels of managerial review, supporting new and follow-on acquisitions, source selection and the acquisition process for all Booster acquisitions.
Provide an interface between the Launch Acquisition team and the booster related functions to facilitate contract change coordination with SMC contract management. Tasks include:

a. Support contract management activities for engineering change proposal (ECP) forecasting and implementation coordination.
b. Draft technical evaluations for engineering change proposal (ECP).
c. Facilitate coordination of required contract actions and/or schedule adjustments.
d. Maintain insight into launch vehicle development activities to ensure requirements are addressed.

 

Provide Quality Assurance Engineering support  for all launch vehicles. Specific tasks include:

a. Support the program office at manufacturing, quality assurance, and business management meetings/reviews.
b. Support the development of a Quality and Mission Assurance Program that directly contributes to mission success.
c. Provide engineering support for the implementation and sustainment of the Quality and Mission Assurance Programs.
d. Support the development of a process to measure the health and status of the Quality and Mission Assurance Program.

e. Provide engineering support to monitior and evaluate manufacturing processes.

 

Analyzes acquisition data (such as financial/budget information, congressional tracking, programmatic support, etc.) and makes recommendations for program improvements.

 1. Applies knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support customers in the analysis and improvement of acquisition programs.

 2. Assists government procurement agencies in defining proposals and qualifying vendors.

 3. Devises strategies for developing and implementing new acquisition program initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation.

 4. Uses quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction/mitigation approaches for improving acquisition/program planning, control, and execution.

 5. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts, and may have supervisory responsibility.

 6. May serve as a team or task leader.

 7. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related acquisition management experience for a government contractor, or related military experience.
