Based in Calvert County Maryland, we are a general contractor with work expanding all over Southern Maryland, DC and various parts of Virginia.  With a large number of new projects, we are looking for an Accounting Assistant to handle the day to day activities within our accounts payable department and work directly with project management.  The position will include the following:

  • Process material and subcontractor invoices
  • Track suppliers and ensure timely payments by subcontractors
  • Monitor submission of certified payroll for assigned projects
  • Update W-9 database
  • Assist in the audit process of subcontractor certificates of insurance
  • Record incoming payments and make deposits
  • Provide support to project management as needed
  • Report directly to the Controller
  • Minimum of 3 years in a construction environment
  • Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Sage 300-Timberline experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and time management skills required
