Director of National Accounts

Office of Strategic Enrollment Management, Corporate Learning Solutions

Exempt, Regular, Full-time, Pay Grade 3.5

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) seeks a Director of National Accounts with Corporate Learning Solutions. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Partnerships, the Director of National Accounts will develop relationships with C-Suite, Human Resources and Learning & Development professionals, to identify and qualify for-credit enrollment opportunities, build and present solutions, increase UMUC brand awareness in the market, and close business with large organizations throughout the United States. With full support of Corporate Learning Solutions' (CLS) business development and account management team, the selected candidate will grow enrollments and revenue in the commercial business space from new partnerships and within existing partnerships to support the attainment of CLS's goals and commitments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Plan and develop innovative lead generation activities
  • Develop expense forecasts for each quarter
  • Interface with high level executives within prospect and key partner accounts
  • Liaise with key stakeholders within UMUC and CLS
  • Monitor industry and market trends that intersect with UMUC program offerings
  • Stay abreast of competitor marketing strategies and share with CLS team
  • Work with CLS and marketing team to develop initiatives to increase lead, application, and enrollment generation
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning with proven experience in sales/business development, preferably in a consulting environment. Strong activity level and business acumen, adaptability, excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use technology to support marketing and client servicing activities. Proven ability and desire to work within a highly motivated and multi-skilled team. Ability to travel to client locations and work successfully in a teleworking position (if applicable). Develop and implement a strategic business plan that results in adequate leads to support growth targets and pipeline with sufficient distribution of opportunities across all stages. Obtain commitments from qualified prospects to partner with UMUC as a preferred provider and/or strategic partner.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in business-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning and CPLP certification.
