General Dynamics Information Technology’s (GDIT), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Corporation, is seeking writers to support proposal efforts, to include technical and management approaches, staffing, past performance, and resumes. Candidates having experience writing proposals in the following domains will receive priority consideration:

    Information technology, cyber security and the Internet of ThingsTraining, logistics, and professional servicesNetworks, wireless and mobile communications, and public safety
The selected candidates will work directly with subject matter experts (SMEs) to prepare proposal content in accordance with schedule and deadlines. They must possess the interview skills to extract detailed content from the SMEs, incorporate proposal thematic win themes, and produce high quality content consistent with the requirements and evaluation criteria of the solicitations.  As knowledge of the subject matter and GDIT capabilities mature, the candidates will also be asked to generate proposal content independently.  The selected candidates will also support proposal editing and reviews as required.

 

Participates in the development, revision and delivery of internal and external communications materials.

 Supports proposal development activities as required.

 Maintains current knowledge of company services, products, partners, and organization.

 Maintains current knowledge of major industry, competitor and customer events, issues, and activities. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Social Science, or technical discipline consistent with the aforementioned domains

Qualifications 2-5 years of directly related internal and or marketing communications or public relations agency experience.

 

    Minimum of two years of experience in technical or proposal writing, or supporting technical programs and proposal effortsDemonstrable writing, editing and interview skillsUnderstanding of the business development life cycle in federal, state and local, or commercial domainsSelf-starter with abilities to move quickly from project to project while dealing with SMEsPossess a passion to win
The positions will require up to 20% travel.
