  • Candidates must meet the educational requirements for Engineers. Additionally, for the GS-11 level, candidates must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 level or have completed requirements for a PhD. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. For the GS-12 level, candidates must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level.

    Specialized Experience for GS-11: Experience performing moderately complex safety, reliability, and engineering analysis.

    Specialized Experience for GS-12: Experience performing complex safety, reliability, and engineering analysis.
