Location: Dorsey, Waldorf, Quantico, and Norfolk

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach, on site in The United States in the Cybersecurity program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty for the following course:

CBR 600 - Communicating, Problem Solving, and Leading in Cybersecurity:

This course is intended to make students more valuable to an employer by gaining and improving skills in communication and problem solving. Students will explore the field of cybersecurity by developing connections to their career aspirations, creating a professional social network presence, and using critical thinking to inform decisions. Students will also improve and refine their skills in communication, critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and team leadership. They will hone their professional writing and oral communication skills to produce effective presentations and become proficient with current technology.

Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning required. Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Professional experience in Cybersecurity and Business or a related field

  • Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred
  • This position is specifically to teach in Dorsey, Waldorf, Quantico, or Norfolk

  • Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
  • Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
