The Technology Solutions Manager at National Disability Institute is responsible for overseeing all technology, website and virtual training needs of the organization. The Technology Solutions Manager works closely with all members of the NDI Communications Team and reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing.

Website (25%)

  • Manage and oversee projects and daily operations related to NDI's various web properties
    • Update webpage content
    • Manage and train users in various CMS platforms as well as Civi CRM
    • Collaborate regularly with various teams to identify existing problems (incorrect information, outdated functionality, etc) and to suggest solutions for new functionality
    • Oversee relationships with website vendors


Virtual Training (30%)

  • Serve as administrator for all web-based training platforms (Webex, Adobe Connect, e-Logic Learning, Articulate 360)
    • Provide technical support during webinars (Adobe Connect, WebEx)
    • Assist with administrative webinar duties (creating events, attendance reporting, archive creation, etc).
    • Oversee creation of e-learning courses with external vendors
    • Billing administration

IT Help Desk/Systems Administration (30%)

  • Administer various systems for a semi-distributed organization:
    • Office 365
    • Network administration and configuration, such as monitoring traffic, deploying hardware/software
    • Manage distributed staff via various monitoring tools such as LogMeIn Central, VIPRE Business Console and SAManage.
    • Light administration of Active Directory
    • RingCentral VoIP System       
  • Manage NDI tech support help desk and ticketing system, escalating major technical issues managed IT contractor
  • Manage NDI IT asset lifecycle and coordinate all hardware and software purchasing
  • Liaise with IT contractor for any technical issues or large projects that require external assistance

Other Technology Management Duties (15%)

  • Advise staff on any technology and audio/visual needs for upcoming events or projects
  • Responsible for maintaining technology budget
  • Responsible for the development of best practices and guidelines for existing or new technologies and processes
  • Assess NDI workflow and administrative needs to provide suggestions for software, hardware and systems, staying up-to-date on trusted and emerging web applications for business
  • Serve as administrator for all web applications/SaaS used by NDI (i.e. Formstack, Dropbox, Eventbrite, Carbonite, etc.) Note: Duties may not necessarily consist of daily usage, but rather overseeing staff use and having a general understanding of product in order to assist or advise staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Marketing or related fields OR relevant work experience
  • 3 to 5 years experience managing IT assets for multiple users and providing IT support to users in varying locations
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Exceptional communication and training skills – ability to “translate” technical requests/needs with staff and external vendors of varying levels of technical expertise
  • Experience using Content Management Systems is required
  • Experience working with CRMs or other client management databases is highly desired
  • Ability to troubleshoot both Windows and Mac hardware
  • Experience administering webinar platforms (Adobe Connect, WebEx)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to multitask and effectively work between numerous simultaneous projects
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility principles a plus
  • Experience with e-learning/instructional design a plus
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Requirements:

  • The Technology Solutions Specialist position requires occasional installation and movement of hardware and equipment, which can weigh up to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to obtain Federal Security/Suitability clearance (Level 5)
