Provides functional management of a team of security professionals while also providing active leadership to support program security objectives.


 1. Manages the security posture of information systems and the protection of systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.

 2. Interfaces with client to understand their security needs and oversees the development and implementation of procedures to accommodate them.


3. Achieves and maintains system security authorizations by leading accreditation projects and overseeing continuous monitoring.


4. Supervises and develops assigned staff while maintaining hands on participation in security activities.

 5. Recognizes potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises thorough reviews and analyses of relevant event detail and summary information.


6. Plays a key role in incident response and contingency planning.

 7. Ensures that the user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.

 8. Weighs business needs against security concerns and articulates issues to management and/or customers.

 9. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

 10. Provides guidance in the creation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures and other similar documentation

 11. Recruits and trains new staff members to support security needs.

 12. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Qualifications 10-12 years of related experience in information assurance, including supervisory experience.


Professional certifications such as CISM or CISSP strongly preferred


Hands-on FedRAMP experience preferred.
