Requisition Number 17-0056 Title FACE Data Modeler/Engineer City Lexington Park State Maryland Employment Type Full Time Hot Job Yes Description Seeking a Senior Engineer to support PMA209's Avionics Architecture Team (AAT) IPT in establishing interoperable and open avionics architectures across the Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE).

Essential Job Functions:

Performs the role of technical advisor to the Avionics Architecture Team (AAT).

Provides strategic technical subject matter expertise (SME) in support of the AAT IPT.

Provides SME support to the Academia technical team focused on the validation and verification of the AAT Initiatives (FACE, HOST, FASTR).

Provides recommendations for the technical roadmap for AAT and associated platforms.

Supports Prime contractor-led design reviews and reviews the Prime contractor developed design documentation.

Develops and supports technical briefs during Outreach events and provides technical support to all Business Case Analysis (BCA) efforts.

Serves as a liaison to platforms integrating AAT Initiatives into Programs of Record (PORs).

Drafts and manages AAT Initiative requirements (SOW/CDRLs) at an appropriate level of detail for the phase of the program.

Support the following Military branch platforms and systems for AAT: FACE Consortium: Data Model subcommittee; TSS SC lead; UCS Alignment; Config/TSS/DM alignment, Standards Subcommittee; Standards Alignment and Strategies; UCS Alignment; OMS; SOSA; and UCM Proposal International Support: TTCP; AMOSA CP Activities; COSA.

Support the following specific platforms: PEO IWS; PEO C4I; JCA/FVL; and DARPA CODE; As well as FACE Development Efforts: DEXTER; ROS and OCI / OpenDDS.
Requirements Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

A BS degree in Software Engineering is preferred.

At least ten (10) years of experience in an Engineering/Science Field, with at least six (6) of those years working with avionics systems.

Experience with Ontology, linguistics, neur-linguistics; Unified Modeling Language (UML); Entity-relationship model (ERM) techniques; Subject Matter Expertise in Avionics, Sensors, and Mission Systems.

Active experience as Systems Architect.

Active Secret Security Clearance required.

Desired Skills:

Past experience as Software Developer, Strategic thinker and Business Case experience is highly desired.

Familiarity with the FACE Data Architecture and mathematical set theory is a plus.
