Hughes is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst II to support our finance team in Germantown, Maryland. 

Responsibilities:
  • Perform key role in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing process.
  • Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations to assist management in understanding business performance.
  • Preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial results.
  • Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for key business activities and functional areas.
  • Interacts regularly with senior management at divisional levels.


  • Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 4 years Corporate Finance or Accounting background.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong accounting knowledge
  • Strong research and analysis skills
  • Skilled in using Excel and Access
  • Master degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal)
