Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a skilled Sr. SharePoint Engineer to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations. The Sr. SharePoint Engineer will serve multiple roles within the SharePoint team including, but not limited to: secondary team lead, business analyst, solution architect, no-code & minor code solution developer, troubleshooter, QA/tester, and trainer/teacher to fellow team members.

Responsibilities
• Serve as subject matter expert on SharePoint architecture for both an on premise and online farm
• Work within the SharePoint team and with business sponsors and stakeholders to conceive, design, develop, test, implement, and support SharePoint solutions
• Guide solutions based on patterns and best practices around Content Management, User Adoption, Governance and Change Management
• Gather, document, circulate for review, and revise solution requirements
• Create solution design documentation and solution patterns that can be reused by other customers and are highly available
• Lead multiple application projects of varying difficulty, simultaneously involving different team members from start to finish
• Serve as the secondary team lead and right hand to the team lead
• Conduct group and individual user training for newly implemented and modified solutions
• Troubleshoot and enhance pre-existing solutions developed by yourself or others
• Assist with the promotion of SharePoint within the agency
• Assist in the development of content management best practices and governance
• Develop, implement and manage a taxonomy for content storage and retrieval, working with business users and stakeholders
• Provide end user support for SharePoint sites and solutions
• Provide comprehensive content management strategies for intranet, extranet and public facing websites on the platform
• Enable the delivery of multiple workloads including Business Intelligence, Project and Portfolio Management and Knowledge Management
• Deliver on the vision, architecture, execution, and quality assurance of SharePoint
• Share content expertise & best practices with team members through development and delivery of case studies, white papers, learning materials, and other resources to elevate internal knowledge of the team

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's (in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business preferred)
• 5+ years of related experience; 2+ years of job-related experience with Microsoft SharePoint, SharePoint Designer and InfoPath
• Familiarity with SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013 and/or SharePoint online (O365) web parts and out-of-the-box features/capabilities
• Experience with Solution Architecture in SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, or Microsoft Office 365
• Experience building SharePoint workflows with SharePoint Designer
• Working knowledge of SharePoint Designer
• Familiarity with SharePoint 2013/Office 365 SharePoint
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent organization, communication and writing skills, and the ability to express yourself in technical discussions via strategy, implementation and design of SharePoint environments
• Team player
• Able to learn quickly and independently
• Very good interpersonal skills

Desired Qualifications
• Significant experience working with InfoPath forms, web-based forms or other SharePoint compatible forms (Nintex, Access, etc.)
• Experience with the Business Intelligence Center in SharePoint
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Experience with SQL Server databases
• SSRS experience
• Experience with Access Services and Excel Services
• Hands-on experience with implementing custom master pages, page layouts and CSS
• Experience with SharePoint migration from one version to another
• Experience with SharePoint Online and/or Office 365
