Certified Personal Trainers (Part-time) - Yates Memorial Field House

Georgetown University, as a leading American and Jesuit institution, is committed to the cultivation of the whole person; the training not only of the intellect and spirit, but also the body. With this in mind, the Yates Memorial Field House was built to meet the recreational, instructional, and intramural sport needs of the entire University Community.  As the primary recreation facility for Georgetown University, Yates offers comprehensive recreational programming to serve the needs of university students, faculty and staff.

The Certified Personal Trainers have duties that include but are not limited to:

  • Designing and leading Yates members through safe and effective workouts.
  • Working one-on-one with students and members to help them reach their fitness goals and promotes a healthy lifestyle.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of in-house Personal Trainer Instructor Course, or obtains national certification from a reputable certifying organization (for example, ACE, ACSM, NASM, NSCA)
  • CPR certification
  • Personable, professional, self-motivated with passion for helping individuals achieve their fitness goals
  • Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, workout structure, and proper form
