Seeking a resource to develop web-based workflow applications using IBM Business Process Manager (iBPM) (previously Lombardi Teamworks) and modern web development techniques. iBPM is a commercial product that enables a developer to quickly model and develop workflow applications. Applications are built using the iBPM modeler and a number of other web technologies such as Java, Javascript, WML, XSLT, CSS, and SQL. A resource who is skilled in these technologies would be able to grasp the concepts of iBPM quickly.


    Designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs highly complex new software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software.

    Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.

    Resolves highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.

    Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity.

    Factors emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation.

    Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

    Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements.

    Prepares reports on analyses, findings, and project progress, and presents results to management and/or customer personnel.

    Serves as a customer interface to resolve problems and ensure requirements are met on a timely basis.

    Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced software developers, and may have supervisory responsibilities.

    Serves as a technical team or task leader.

    Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

    Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications Required Skills/Experience:

1. Demonstrated on-the-job experience (non-academic) programming web applications in HTML, CSS and Java Script using jQuery for at least 3 years
2. Demonstrated on-the-job experience (non-academic) with SQL for no less than 3 years
3. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Eclipse or similar IDE
4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience (non-academic) developing REST APIs and interfacing with REST APIs using AJAX
5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience using with Web MVC frameworks such as Spring MVC for no less than 2 years
6. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Java for no less than 3 years



Desired Skills/Experience:

1. Demonstrated on-the-job experience (non-academic) with IBPM (formerly Teamworks) for no less than 2 years
2. Demonstrated on-the-job experience designing an intuitive user interface that can be easily utilized by a wide base of users who have little or no business area expertise
3. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Spring Security
4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Grails
5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing applications using Oracle 10g or 11g
6. Demonstrated on-the-job with Subversion configuration and usage (client only)
7. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with user interface design and development
8. B.S. or B.A. degree in computer science, engineering, information security or a related information technology discipline or equivalent experience
9. Demonstrated on-the-job (non-academic) experience as a developer in an agile environment for at least 2 years
10. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Object-Oriented analysis and design
