The George Mason University Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) seeks a full-time (1.0 FTE, with benefits), experienced Psychologist for the position of Coordinator, Multicultural Services and Community Education. Counseling and Psychological Services promotes campus safety, emotional growth and academic success for a diverse student body. The unit provides culturally sensitive mental health and educational services, prevention programming and community education, and training for emerging psychology professionals.

Responsibilities: * Leadership and administration of the units community education programming; * Development of unit and university-wide diversity and multicultural initiatives; * Collaboration with other university offices in the provision of services to diverse and multicultural populations; * Provision of: individual and group counseling; case management services; crisis intervention, including after-hours consultation; psychological consultation services to diverse students/faculty/staff/family/others; and community education and outreach programming; * Supervision and training of psychology externs and doctoral interns (APA-accredited doctoral internship); and * Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications: * Earned doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology; * Licensed as a psychologist in Virginia or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in Virginia within one year of appointment; and * Demonstrated knowledge, ability, and experience effectively working with diverse populations.

Preferred Qualifications: * At least one year of experience providing mental health services to college students or late adolescents; * Experience providing clinical consultation to stakeholders; * Experience providing clinical supervision; and * Experience with administration of programming within a mental health setting.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
