Sunrise Senior Living has an opportunity available for a Information Technology Project Manager to work at our corporate office in McLean, VA. This positon oversees a small to moderate sized project or portion of a larger project.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities
  • Oversees all aspects of the moderate to large sized projects over the entire project life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Specifically, will create project charter, secure budget, identify project tasks, manage issues and risks, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor project health and summarize progress of project, manage project communications, and control and report on project performance and success outcomes. Main responsibility is to ensure adherence to schedules, budget and contractual commitments.
  • Will achieve in-depth familiarity with technical scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
  • Role may include serving as a subject matter resource on project, assisting development of advanced project management models and forecasting resource requirements and resolving moderately complex contractual issues.
  • Applies in-depth professional-level knowledge to independently solve a full range of complex problems. Serves as trusted ‘go to’ person by management.
  • Provides advanced analytical project performance metrics to PM Director and IT management
  • Under a matrix structure, oversees the project team as they plan, track and execute project plans from the start to completion.
  • Responsible for development of plans and implementation of IT projects related to software applications or business initiatives requiring IT hardware, configuration support, or data analytics
  • The position will report into the IT PMO Director and be responsible for managing the project work plan, producing status reports, acting as the key support to the team leaders, identifying and managing issues and risks, regularly providing updates to the PMO Director
  • Work as directed with IT, business leaders and vendors to ensure work is performed in compliance with the strategy
  • Escalate to and collaborate with IT project managers and PMO Director on issues and risks to identify solutions. Recommends changes to the project to improve processes and alleviate process inaccurate and duplication.
  • Experience Required
    • 5+ Years of PM experience
    • PMP Certification preferred
    • Experience leading large or complex projects
    • Preferred experience managing multiple projects in a large organization
    • Customer support and/or technical support experience a plus
    • Knowledge of SDLC process
    • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
    • Experience communicating with all levels of work groups and upper management
    • High level of comfort using Microsoft Office programs
    • High level of comfort using Microsoft Project
    • Preferred experience with SharePoint
    • Experience in the health care field is a plus
