AdvertisementThe Patient Liaison for the Emergency department serves as a personal contact for families and companions of patients in the Emergency Room (ER). The liaison provides support and helps to alleviate stress by engaging with patients, families, and companions to address concerns and facilitating communication between families, patients and staff. EDUCATION: High school degree or GED diploma is required, plus completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Required Certification, Registration, and/or Licensure: Current CPR certification, plus certification, registration or diploma as a medical assistant. EXPERIENCE: From 1 to 3 years experience required, preferably in a doctor's office or medical environment/health care setting demonstrating organizational skills and a Working familiarity with medical settings and customer service skills are required.
