The AWS Cloud Architect will have advanced technical expertise in designing, provisioning, operating, and managing distributed application systems on the AWS platform. Qualified candidates will have experience in:

    Implementing and managing continuous delivery systems and methodologies on AWSImplementing automated security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation processes within AWS environmentDefining and deploying monitoring, metrics, and logging strategies across applications, systems and services within AWSImplementing systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platformDesigning, managing, and maintaining tools to automate operational processes, backups, ensuring AWS service offerings provide highly available services Assist with IT service transformation and migration planning and execution projectsManaging AWS integration and production service environment for a rapidly growing service model3 or more years’ experience provisioning, operating, and managing AWS environmentsExperience developing code in at least one high-level programming languageExperience in automation and testing via scripting/programingUnderstanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies
Education 1. Minimum total of 6 years related IT systems administration experience

2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MIS preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional or AWS Certified DevOps – Professional certification (Required)

4. DoD 8570 IAT-L1 certification (Sec+ CE or Higher preferred)

Qualifications
    4 - 6+ years of experience in Amazon Web Services 3+ years of experience in Linux administration; Red Hat Certification a plus (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, etc.)2+ years of experience providing Windows Server 2008/2012 server administrationKnowledge of firewalls and networking experience is a plusExperience configuring use of service monitoring tools - SCOM, Solarwinds, Cloud Watch, Splunk to manage service environmentExperience in virtualization of serversExperience providing managed services in an IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Public Cloud environmentCertifications in Linux Admin or Microsoft Server Admin are a plusExposure to McAfee Host-Based Security System a plusStrong technical competence and aptitudeQuick thinker, experienced in unconventional problem solvingComfortable initiating change; consciously managing and shaping change Ability to balance and consider multiple issues and perspectives while focusing on the overall visionExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively interact with all levels of management from application developers to the CIOAbility to support on-call or ensure critical incident response 24x7x365Exceptional planning and organizational skillsPrevious hands-on experience with complex Enterprise solutions and business applicationsAbility to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, internally and externallyPositive "can do" attitude with focus on the success of the team over individual accomplishmentsStrong interpersonal communication and presentation skillsExperience supervising teams of 5 – 8 personnelAbility to guide the cloud functional team across multiple IPTs in the application of best practices, common frameworks, training and professional development in accordance with the vision of the Chief Systems Engineer and Task Order LeadProficient in AWS Best Practices and use of Configuration Management (i.e. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
