Force Protection Officer
The Force Protection Officer directly supports the Deputy Chief of Operations, CJ-3 and serves as the NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A Force Protection Support element. Assesses both threats and identifies vulnerabilities across all NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A CJOA locations. Conducts force protection infrastructure operational planning, coordinates, allocates, and employs resources to ensure security measures are developed that provide the appropriate level of protection for all applicable threats. Provides support and recommendations to NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A command and the base defense operations center (BDOC) commandant on force protection training for the force. Education BS/BA
- Citizen of the United States.Possess a military background as a U.S. Army Military Police, Engineer, or sufficient Force Protection background from other services or agencies.Must be a graduate from the U.S. Army Military Police Residence (Level II) “The Force Protection Unit Advisor’s Course” or similar course from other services.Must attend certified training IAW AR 525-13.
- Computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Internet Explorer.Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situationsFluent in English.Willing to work a 12-hour shift per day.Working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust and hazardous harsh conditions.Able to don all required personal protective gear and physically execute assigned duties.
