Safety Program Manager
The Safety Program Manager works directly for the Commanding General SOJTF-A, through the Chief of Staff, supporting and implementing the Commander’s Safety Philosophy; and is a member of the special staff. Safety Program Manager is responsible for oversight and management of all subordinate unit’s safety programs, and monitors SOJTF-A compliance to applicable safety regulations (DODI 6055 series, Army 385 series). Program management includes all elements of safety listed in AR 385-10, table 1-1. Safety Program Manager provides expertise and recommendations to the Command in order to execute the safety program elements. Safety Program Manager will provide in person briefings of the status of the safety program to the Commander, and J-Staff. Safety Program Manager will have to make site visits to subordinate units for periodic safety inspections and assistance. Education BS/BA*Minimum Secret Clearance
- Citizen of the United States.Minimum three years of experience in safety program management.Minimum three years of prior military experience.
- Computer skills including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) and Internet Explorer.Knowledge of 28 CFR 1910 OSHA regulation.Excellent oral and written communications skills.CP-12 Certification, or Certified Safety Professional preferred.Prior military safety officer experience preferred.Willing to work a 12-hour shift per day.Working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust and hazardous harsh conditions.Able to don all required personal protective gear and physically execute assigned duties.This position is unarmed.
