Reports to: Assistant Director of Government Affairs

Start Date: January 2015

Location: Washington, DC

J Street is seeking a highly motivated and externally oriented undergraduate student or recent graduate to intern in our Washington, DC office for the winter of the 2014 - 2015 school year. This internship is an excellent opportunity to get involved in J Street's work. This position will involve assisting the Government Affairs team on assorted administrative, clerical, research, and programmatic tasks and projects. Many of these duties will be in support of staff's lobbying activities on Capitol Hill. This position will also be assisting in the planning and execution of J Street's Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill.

Applicants should have: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational skills • Proficiency in Microsoft suite; experience with database management and Excel a plus • Experience in event planning a plus

Compensation and Time Commitment: This is an unpaid internship Applicants must be able to work at least 15-20 hours per week, and occasional during events. This includes attending/working the J Street National Conference.
