General Dynamics is seeking a talented Recruiting Assistant / Contract Labor Administrator to support the Global Solutions Division Recruiting function by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks to include administration of the Contract Labor program. 


Provide day to day administration of the division Contract Labor onboarding process:

    • Interact with outside staffing agencies
    • Ensure Contract Labor candidates are properly on-boarded
    • Track Contract Labor headcount and metrics

General Duties: 

 1. Provides administrative support to a fasted paced, high volume Recruiting Department, to include offer letter preparation, background investigations, drug screening, processing new hires and onboarding.

 2. Processes personnel actions in iCIMS, PeopleSoft, or other software applications and prepares required documentation.

 3. Sets up and maintains electronic employee files.

 4. Perform resume data entry and prepare offer letters.

 5. Performs clerical tasks such as copying, faxing, filing, word processing, and data entry.

 6. Prepares new hire orientation packages and other related documents.

 7. May assist in the facilitation of new hire orientation sessions.

 8. Process prehire documents and background investigations. 

 9. Answers routine employee inquiries, provides information for resolution and when applicable refers complex questions to appropriate staff members.

 10. Assists with interview scheduling and travel arrangements. 


11.  Provides support for Recruting staff as assigned.

 12. Participates in special projects as required.

Education 1. Requires a High School Diploma or GED.

 2. Associates Degree preferred.

Qualifications 1-3 years of related administrative experience.


  • Must be very detail oriented and organized
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated (need to be able to evaluate workload and understand priorities of task and order of tasks to be accomplished)
  • Must be able to take complete control of the administrative function of the contract labor program and escalate unresolvable issues to the Contract Labor manager.
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision.  Performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution across multiple functions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and be able to represent General Dynamics professionally in working with outside Staffing Agencies and their representatives
