The Human Resources Generalist will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating, under the direction of the HR Manager. There is a special emphasis and focus on the recruitment of all non-nursing positions. The HR Generalist will provide human resources support services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing personnel transactions.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree required, in Human Resources, Labor/Industrial Relations or related field
  • At least 3-5 year relevant work experience as human resource generalist required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and confidential matters in a professional, time sensitive manner
  • 3-5 years HR Generalist in a union environment
  • 2-3 years HR Generalist in healthcare setting required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be flexible, proactive, and demonstrate a high level of credibility
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (including Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Certification of PHR of SPHR preferred
