Sentara Norfolk General is currently looking for a Team Coordinator for our Occupational Health/Worker's Compensation Department. This position is full-time, dayshift and requires a BSN and 2 years in a management position and at least 3 years RN experience. Project management skills a plus. This is a fast moving, dynamic position responsible for the safety, health, initial injury management, and exposure management of Sentara employees. Responsible for performing diversified duties in support of occupational health and/or worker's compensation services. The Team Coordinator assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates health promotion as well as medical and mandated programs/activities in response to the needs of clients. Collaborates with internal and external teams to coordinate activities. The team coordinator is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of the program and staff including coordinating quality and customer service activities; assisting in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes; serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff.

Education Level
RN-Bachelor's Level Degree

Required: Management - 2 years, Nursing - 3 years

Preferred: None, unless noted in the “Other” section below

Required: BLS Instructor, Basic Life Support, Registered Nurse

Preferred: None, unless noted in the “Other” section below

Required: Leadership, Mgmt of Financial Resources, Mgmt of Staff Resources, Operation and Control, Quality Control Analysis

Preferred: None, unless noted in the “Other” section below

OHTC: Minimum of 3 years teaching experience which includes the development and implementation of educational program preferred. Requires BAY certification with 12 months and spriromentr/audiometry within 18 months. WCTC: Five years of experience in workers' compensation preferred. Current knowledge of governmental regulations and community health principles applicable to occupational and environmental health and safety.
