Sentara Medical Group is seeking a Director, Analytics to work in the Norfolk, VA area.

Directs the efforts of Sentara's Informatics Team to develop and implement a strategic vision to advance and promote the effective use of informatics in support of Sentara's strategic imperatives. Leads and directs a highly skilled team focused on the research, development and delivery of innovative analytical solutions utilizing all available data resources in order to support customers at all levels of the Sentara organization. Collaborates with Sentara Leadership to define and stratify informatics requirements enabling customers to meet strategic goals and tactical objectives. Uses knowledge of Sentara's BI infrastructure, analytical tools, information systems, and other data stores to direct the design and construction of analytical models in support of program evaluation, operational and clinical analyses and reporting for responsible business sectors. Directs the design and implementation of BI solutions to improve processes to support revenue streams.

10 years experience in either clinical or business sectors supported and/or healthcare delivery systems, information technology, finance or statistics required. Knowledge in architecture required. BI Infrastructures skill required. Healthcare Industry experience required. Interfaces experience required. IT Information Infrastructures experience required. Project Management experience required.

Candidate must have a demonstrable ability to lead an analytic team in an environment requiring a high degree of executive-level constituency management and cross-functional coordination across teams. Ideally, the candidate has a deep understanding of healthcare, direct experience and a broad command of analytical methods and tools, as well as an extensive understanding of data management principles, including specific knowledge of healthcare data. While all of these are not required, the candidate must be strong in at least of these dimensions and possess the aptitude to come up to speed quickly on all of them.
