Job Description:
Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a full time Director, Patient Care Services (RN) for Cardiac Services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Hospital Information:
Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is a 276-bed acute care facility that has a long history of commitment to the city, offering specialized, tertiary services. It is the region's only Level III Trauma Center and home to the Sentara Heart Center. We offer many advanced clinical services. The hospital specializes in orthopedics, neurosurgery, thoracic and colorectal surgery and sleep disorders. Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is one of the region's accredited stroke centers.

Position Information:
The Director of Patient Care Services will be responsible for overseeing our Cardiac Service Line. This position will work with our Non-Invasive Lab, Invasive departments such as Cath Lab and Cardiac Cath Holding area, Heart Failure Clinic, and Cardiac Rehab Clinic. This director will have roughly 45 FTE's to manage. We are seeking an individual that can run operations for our cardiac service line, be a subject matter experts to nurse managers and hospital leadership, must be handle a highly political environment, build relationships among the team, and create evidenced based practice policies.

Leads, directs and manages high performance teams with accountability for operations, quality, customer service and success of assigned departments and product lines. Areas of responsibility are high volume and/or have significant strategic and financial impact on current and future success of Sentara Hospitals. Responsible for the coordination of the delivery of high quality services which meets or exceeds customer expectations. Coordinates the development, marketing, and strategic planning of new and existing services across multiple hospitals. Contributes to the success of the hospitals through achievement of System, hospital and divisional goals. Sets the vision and culture, builds ownership and process improvement for sustainable value added services. Provides leadership and administers fiscal, Corporate and human resource policies and practices in a multi-skilled, multi-functional environment.

RN-Bachelor's Level Degree
