Manager Patient Financial Services
GENERAL SUMMARY Directs the activities of assigned departmental staff to provide services in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner. Ensures that all functions are adequately staffed and covered on each shift. Ensures that staffing is re-balanced during the shift to meet demand. Produces/provides reports on monthly productivity and quality monitoring to the Director with recommendations concerning the improvement of service and/or operations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Associates' degree or one to three years formal training in hospital administration/admissions is required. Knowledge of managed care and government requirements; working knowledge of computer systems; ability to develop and maintain quality and productivity reports, and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. PRIOR EXPERIENCE Approximately five to six years of progressively more responsible job related experience in a supervisory role in an hospital admissions department.
