The MIL Corporation seeks a Property Accounting Remediation Analyst to support a Federal Government client at one of our Washington, DC locations. The Property Accounting Remediation Analyst will provide support by analyzing sustainability and effectiveness of reporting metrics for property accounting and property management.

• Develop and assist in the implementation of revised policies and procedures to remediate audit weaknesses
• Develop and perform the process for recording the quarterly and year-end property accrual into DHS's financial systems
• Gather and evaluate economic, demographic and real estate market data
• Review and analyze legal documents, financial reports and operating plans as part of the due diligence process, negotiations and restructures
• Maintain financial database and document management website
• Provide written quarterly reports documenting project status and Key Performance Indicators

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Public Policy, or related field
• 4 years of work experience
• Very good financial/analytical, strategic thinking, organization, time management, client relationship, and project management skills
• Excellent business decorum
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally in written communication
• Ability to meet deadlines, demonstrate flexibility and work in fast-paced team environment
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• US Citizen; must be clearable for a DHS full background investigation and suitability

Desired Qualifications
• Experience performing OMB Circular A-123 or similar internal controls reviews or external audits
• Experience remediating and implementing IT controls in an organization's enterprise or system environment
