Responsible for the design and management of integrated communications systems, including messaging and VTC.

This position involves engineering, integration, deployment, and installation of Unified Communications (UC) services in support of internal and multi-agency communications. UC services include all modes of network-supported communications such as Instant Messaging (IM) (ex Lync, Skype for Business), Telephone, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC). Tasking may also involve UC supporting technologies and techniques to accomplish Email integration, UC federation, VTC neighboring.

The engineer will specialize in unifying widespread communications systems. Expert in Microsoft Lync and other messaging systems, also familiar with Exchange integrations. Experienced in integrating Lync and other communications systems with VTC infrastructure. Engineer will be responsible for integrating communications with VTC, but not managing VTC systems. Experience in voice gateways is preferred.

Familiarity with engineering, integrating, deploying, troubleshooting, and installing:
* telephone systems, including familiarity with foundation technologies, telephony protocols, and communication standards
* external communication connections, including familiarity with phone system trunk implementation, UC federation, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) peering, and H.32x neighboring implementation with associated protocols
* network streaming protocols and streaming video systems
* VTC protocols
* digital signage systems

Active TS with the ability to obtain an SCI is a must.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 10-15 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design with experience in Unified Communication Integration and Installation Services
