Linux System Administrator; this role will provide systems and engineering/integration support for the ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) tool suite.


  Highlights of Responsibilities

  ' Provide system administration; troubleshooting and integration support for ACAS on the Air Force Network.

  ' Provide script/signature development; new script testing; script and system update development; system maintenance; and other engineering support as required for the ACAS Systems.

  ' Coordinate efforts for the Program Office as needed between other departments within the Air Force.

  ' Create; implement; and maintain standards for maintaining both Linux/Red Hat and Windows 2008 R2 servers within the Virtual Infrastructure on both Classified and Unclassified networks.

   Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.


  ' Requires 3-5 years of IT-related experience.

  ' 1-3 years of Linux experience; RHEL preferred

  ' AS degree or equivalent combination of education; training; certifications and work/military experience. A technical degree (engineering; computer science; information systems; etc) is preferred.

  ' Active Secret clearance.

  ' DOD 8570 Security Certification (Security+ CE at a minimum; etc).

  ' Experience with vulnerability management and remediation tools; preferably Tenable Nessus and Security Center

  ' DISA ACAS online training must be completed within 2 weeks of hire.

    Preferred Education and Experience

  ' Experience with the application of Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs)

  ' Experience with RHEL 5.x/6.x servers and databases.

  ' Additional technical certifications ' RHCE or LPIC-2 preferred.
