Files Maintenance personnel are responsible for the processing and tracking of documentation pertaining to security background investigation requests from military, civilian and industrial sources. Contract duties include:

 

 

a. Track files released to other facilities;
b. Conduct a biannual file audit and report findings to the USG;
c. Create and maintain files as required;
d. File correspondence and documentation;
e. Provide security files to adjudicators for action following prescribed guidelines;
f. Archive any purged the files of individuals who have been debriefed;
g. Manage files that require expedited processing;
h. Assist with general office duties including photocopying, faxing, packing, data entry, and mailing documents;
i.  Maintain confidentiality of assets and information pertaining to personnel security;
j. Provide personnel capable of reaching over their heads and bending to the floor to retrieve files;
k. Transport files from the contractor facility to the archive facility located offsite. 

 

GDIT tasks include:

1. Performs non-routine administrative and analytical tasks in one or more business support functions within the organization, including contracts, facilities planning, finance, logistics, property management, purchasing and/or security.

 2. May perform tasks relative to the control of company and/or government property assigned to the organization.

 3. May perform facilities planning activities, including coordinating the storage and movement of furniture, systems, and equipment.

 4. May act as facility security officer to ensure compliance with company, customer and government security regulations and procedures.

 5. May maintain financial databases, analyze data, and develop reports.

 6. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced administrative staff.

 7. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.

Qualifications 5-8 years of related administrative and analytical experience.

 Requires Polygraph. a. Prior experience in the Personnel Security discipline (investigations, adjudications or polygraph);
b. Demonstrated expert level in preparing reports/delivering status on taskings/preparing metrics;
c. Demonstrated expert level skill in resolving discrepancies;
d. Demonstrated expert level in prioritizing work for teams;
e. Experience in accommodating change, providing support to branch management, performing analytical work, troubleshooting problems, issue resolution, and is customer service orientedf. Experience in processing personnel records as they relate to background investigations
g. Working knowledge of ICD 704 and E.O. 12968 guidelines
h. Database data entry skills
i. Ability to elicit, articulate, and document information in a well-organized mannerj. Ability to learn various databases during performance of the contract
k. Prioritize competing tasks and possess effective time management skillsl. Demonstrated experience with current version of Microsoft Office Suite
m. Demonstrated customer service skills
