Enterprise Windows Administrator
General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has an immediate opening for an Enterpise Windows Administrator to join our team. The Entperise Windows Administrator assists in day-to-day Windows Infrastructure and Server Configuration activities throughout the organization. Primary roles include maintenance, desktop configuration and Tier 3 troubleshooting. Maintains an “active” role between both Engineering and Enterprise Operations to ensure efficient project transitions are planned and executed. Ability to adapt with change and perform task delegations in a fast paced environment. Key Responsibilities· Configure servers for test or production environments. Implement current security guidelines from internal security group.· Maintain server environment with current security patches and best practices.· Maintain all enterprise services (Exchange, SharePoint, etc.) as they are turned over from the Engineering team.· Provide Tier 3 Troubleshooting/Problem resolution for the Enterprise team.· Experience with creating desktop mages and utilizing SCCM for deployment· Experience maintaining a virtual desktop environment, experience with Citrix preferred, Hyper-V. Education Typically requires bachelor’s degree in a related specialized area or the equivalent, and 2 – 5 years of related experience; or master’s degree and 0 – 2 years of related experience. Qualifications Customer Prefers:· Requires a minimum of four years’ experience in a Windows System Administrator role.· Must be detail-oriented and have a solid understating of Windows Server 2008R2 and Windows Server 2012R2.· Have an understanding of the Microsoft back office product line (Exchange, SCCM, SCOM, SharePoint)Requires the ability to lift large and heavy servers and other IT equipment. Requires the ability to rack and install servers and other IT equipment. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs without assistance.
