Medical Lab Technologist with experience with CAP re-accreditation and inspection preparation for accredited laboratories conducting screening; supplemental confirmatory testing; clinical and therapeutic monitoring; molecular diagnosis for HIV; STI; BBI; TTI; and Leishmania species.

Responsibilities:

Ensures compliance with all QA program requirements and documents activities in accordance with established standards.

Ensures proper documentation of all testing performed in accordance with laboratory standard practices.

Understand and assist in the performance and testing requirements associated with FDA regulated testing; and be prepared to execute testing in accordance with SOPs.

Create and maintain individual training folder in accordance with laboratory standards

Supports proper documentation of all elements of CAP accreditation and inspection including the quality management program; chemical hygiene plan; document control process; competency assessment program; and test method validation documentation

Supports clinical testing to include screening; supplemental confirmatory testing; clinical and therapeutic monitoring; molecular diagnosis for HIV; STI; BBI; TTI; and Leishmania species in accordance with laboratory SOPs; manufacturer guidelines and CAP/ FDA requirements.

Education Bachelors Degree in a scientific or technical discipline

Graduate of the U.S. Army Medical Laboratory Specialist Course or equivalent preferred

Medical Technologist; ASCP or equivalent certified preferred. Qualifications 3-5 years of laboratory experience

Documented experience with CAP re-accreditation and inspection preparation
