This position is responsible for providing Linux system administration functions as well as operational Windows enterprise services to end consumers; services include Active Directory (AD) management; group policy (GPO) administration; and management of printing; certificates; WSUS updates; DDNS; and other services to support 24x7x365 operations. The successful candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in both MS and Linux system administration. The position will have a strong emphasis on system backup and restoration.

Primary Responsibilities:

' Aiding engineers in the planning; design; and implementation of MS and Linux systems

' Performing operation and maintenance of MS and Linux systems; including AD; GPO; DDNS; certificate server; printing; DFS; WSUS; among others

' Microsoft Active Directory; including integration with other systems

' Perform backups and ensure recoverability of servers

' Collaborating with various teams; business units; and end users to provide solutions tailored to business needs

' Planning for and installing server upgrades and expansions quickly and without adversely affecting system availability

' Participate in researching solutions to various business and technical problems; evaluate alternatives; and provide recommendations

' Establishing and performing maintenance plan activities

' Performing troubleshooting with an emphasis on root cause analysis

' Reviewing service related reports such as backups; maintenance; and monitoring on a daily basis Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience. Qualifications 5-10 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
