Open positions include systems architecture design and software development: Qualified staff members are needed to join existing project teams in designing; developing; implementing; and testing advanced data processing software for complex; real-time information systems. Successful candidates will work in an innovative; learning environment and assume major responsibilities for researching and developing first-of-a-kind software solutions and data exploitation methods to solve challenging technical problems for national security needs. Leadership opportunities and opportunities for travel exist. Education 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical training; or work/military experience.

2. Masters Degree preferred. Qualifications 10-15 years of related systems engineering experience.

? Software systems engineering: entity relationship diagrams; use cases; data flow diagrams; and other design artifacts ? Software development: demonstrated skills and familiarity with modern software development practices and tools; including some combination of experience in development of science-based software applications in Java; Unix/Linux environments; extensible plugin architectures; SoapUI; and Spring frameworks. ? Demonstrated ability to team with others. ? The ability to develop and concisely present ideas and results in oral and written form. ? The ability to obtain a DOE security clearance (Q) and Secure Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance. DESIRED: ? Software design experience with an Oracle database. ? Experience with testing processes used to qualify software using software simulators and hardware simulators; load and stress testing; and other performance tuning methods ? Experience with software configuration management principles and tools.
