Technical Team Lead - MCTP
The Technology Team Lead manages the activities of personnel providing a broad spectrum of technical support to the US Army's Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). Responsible for the overall preparation and execution of MCTP exercise technical operations; lead; train; and mentor simulation analysts and database administrators; performance management; staffing; employee relations; and time management. Provide technical advice and support to MCTP planners during exercise design and coordination events. Additionally; provide technical advice to the MCTP Program Manager and serve as the principle GDIT technical advisor to the MCTP Chief Information Officer (CIO) Technical and operational responsibilities include supervision of the setup and configuration of proponent approved Army modeling and simulations belonging to the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) systems; Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM); Command; Control; Communications; Computers; and Information Systems (C4I); legacy systems such as the After Action Review System (AARS); and Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS); stable operation of all modeling and simulation computers; peripheral devices; input and output terminals; and related equipment; oversight of development; refinement; and validation of exercise scenario databases and terrain databases; scheduling and oversight of exercise functional testing to ensure appropriate simulation stimulation linkages; scheduling of simulation production runs; and the delivery of models and simulations to distributed Army training locations worldwide. The Technology Team Leader also manages client system software and hardware support to end users; and MCTP home station video teleconferencing operations. The team leader may serve as the GDIT MCTP overall technical lead for major mission command training events; supervising the technical activities of other teams' personnel at distributed training locations. Education Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduate. Qualifications GDIT Requirements Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or military discipline. 10-15 years of related experience supporting military operations Contract Requirements: Intermediate Level Education (MEL4) graduate. Subject matter expertise in Army models and simulations, former Army FA 57 highly desirable. Baseline certification for Information Assurance Management. Meet DOD 8570.01-M requirements. Be current on all Army and Joint regulations and current doctrine. Desired Qualifications: Former Army Simulation Operations Officer (FA 57) highly desirable; Former Mission Training Complex Director. Experience working in a collaborative environment (Microsoft SharePoint; etc.). Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret/SCI clearance is required. Travel: Yes; 50% of the time.
