Demonstrated experience in the analysis of recommended changes and in determining the impact on system readiness and user functionality. Experience in the analysis of the impact of proposed changes on operators and maintainers to properly perform their duties. Experience in reading design documents; generating high level interface block diagrams; and producing innovative designs incorporating commercial equipment; part task trainer emulations and simulations to create flexible and cost effective training and readiness capabilities. Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products; systems; software and/or related components and equipment.



1. Utilize Government Furnished Information (GFI) to perform preliminary and detailed design analysis of the CSCS training system configuration. This effort will involve identifying new equipment; interface and through-put requirements resulting from baseline changes to the Surface Navy Combat Systems and ship platforms; determining the most cost- effective implementation of the change; and monitoring design and installation. Designs and develops tests and test requirements for products; systems; software and/or related components and equipment.

2. Evaluate changes (i.e. design enhancements; ordnance and ship alterations; field changes; and computer program changes) to current and future CSCS configurations; hardware; and software and analyze their effects on training; CSCS configurations; facility support systems; training support systems; training equipment (both emulators and simulators); and service needs.

3. Defines testing processes and ensures tests adhere to established standards.

4. Analyze and support in planning and development of schedules; laboratory/equipment configuration and utilization; plans for MILCON; pre-com and replacement officer training; and enlisted personnel training.

5. Analyze and evaluate changes (i.e. design enhancements; ordnance and ship alterations; field changes; and computer program changes) to current and future CSCS configurations; hardware; and software and analyze their effects on training; CSCS configurations; facility support systems; training support systems; training equipment (both emulators and simulators); and service needs.

6. Shall attend meetings; symposiums and reviews to include: Training Conferences; Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) High Level Program Reviews; AEGIS Baseline meetings; and Design Reviews at the Lifetime Support Engineering Agents (LSEA) and Combat Systems Engineering Agent (CSEA) sites in order to stay current with changes to the AEGIS Combat System (ACS) and AEGIS Weapons System (AWS). Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

7. Provide technical support in the creation of prototypes (and processes that support prototyping) of new developments for HSI for Navy combat tactical and training systems. This support shall consist of researching and implementing the processes in the Uniplexed Information & Computing Service (UNIX) and Windows environments.Troubleshoots problems and documents findings of tests.

8. Provide engineering services and analysis for both Combat System Computer Program integration and consolidation and all future Open Architecture Baselines. This includes support for ACTS Tactical Team Coordinating Training (TTCT); Computer-Aided Sub-mode Trainer (CAST) Lesson Authoring System (CLASS) in replacement of CAST; Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT); ACTS; Total Ship Training Connect (TSTC) Re-host utilizing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technology; and Synthetic Theatre of War LANs for shipboard installation.

9. Will provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems analysts.

Education Bachelors Degree in Systems Engineering; Computer Science or 6 years experience in the design; analysis and/or maintenance of complex DOD systems and related experience in testing; engineering or quality assurance. Qualifications 6 years experience in the analysis; design; and/or maintenance of complex DOD systems and related experience in testing; engineering or quality assurance.
