Responsible for the analysis; administration and support of voice; video; and/or data communications networks. Provide on-site technical support to the CSCS and the ATRC-based TSD and shall include implementation of all DoN IT policies and standards. Provide network administration support for all current and future Hardware/Software configurations Joint World Wide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS)/Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI); US ECR Network (Secret) and IP ECR Network (Secret) and all stand-alone non-Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) assets (Unclassified and Secret). Perform network maintenance; including scheduled network maintenance and monitor the amount of free space available on the server. Functional requirements; including scheduled network maintenance



1. Provide helpdesk support for all current and future Hardware/Software configurations JWICS/JDISS (TS/SCI); US ECR Network (Secret) and IP ECR Network (Secret) and all stand-alone non-NMCI assets (Unclassified and Secret). Provide user helpdesk support to include user account creation; password reset; application training.

2. Provide research for new and emerging technologies in hardware; software; and applications and provide a written report of analysis.

3. Provide application development support for Government software design specifications to include internal web page development and databases.

4. Provide support in design; configuration; implementation; maintenance; and management of hardware; computer programs; courseware; systems; and technologies specific to the ECR environment and in accordance with DoN Policies and guidelines for software.

5. Provide installation/implementation of hardware; computer programs; courseware; systems; and technologies; monitor progress and provide recommendations/services to expedite installation/implementation.

6. Provide support in scheduling; reporting; loading ECR Local Area Network (LAN) software. Evaluates hardware and software; including peripheral; output; and related equipment.

5. Participates in the development and implementation of DON network-related procedures and standards.

Provide quality assurance recommendations based on the review and evaluation of plans for facility and system changes and future growth including: review of Government Furnished documentation including Global Shore Infrastructure Plans (GSIP); Regional Shore Infrastructure Plan (RSIP); Training Shore Infrastructure Plan (TSIP); Navy Training System Plan (NTSP); Training Project Plan (TPP); and Element Interface Block Diagrams; Cable Block Diagrams; Equipment Layouts and Support Equipment drawings; and Construction Drawing changes. Recommendations will be for the purpose of ensuring technical validity; accuracy; and in support of CSCS's mission.

7. Provide and perform quality assurance; configuration management; and status accounting for CSCS Sites equipment including maintenance of CSCS's Infrastructure Information notebook maintaining 'as is' floor layout drawings; square footage; distribution of spaces; and support equipment.

8. Provide resource-tracking support for future activation efforts ensuring accuracy of databases and support /participates in and may lead aspects of major network installations and upgrades.

9. Provide support in accordance with the current Information Assurance regulations and report to the Information Assurance Manager (IAM) including: certifying systems as accredited by regulations; maintaining the system to ensure certification is maintained for the accreditation;; inspection; testing ; and review Information Assurance (IA) protective and corrective measures; conduct Functional Area and Needs Analysis and provide recommendations on IA architecture; requirements; objectives and policies; and prepare in-depth IA manpower studies; analysis; and reports; and perform analysis on IA personnel; IA processes; and procedures to the CSCS IAM according to the most current regulations. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience. Qualifications 10 years of practical experience in the computer industry within which 3 of those are specialized experience in the installation; administration; and maintenance of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN). Extensive knowledge of NT; Disk Operating System (DOS); Windows; UNIX; Oracle and Microsoft BackOffice Applications. Extensive experience in troubleshooting and resolving Personal Computer (PC) and network hardware; software; and communication problems. Experience in the transition/conversion from/to various computer system platforms and network protocols.
