Designs and develops information processing hardware; computer systems and electrical components.

1. Conducts research; design; development and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips; circuit boards; computer systems and electrical components.

2. Designs new products and/or modifies existing products.

3. Develops technical specifications for production.

4. Analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions.

5. Tests hardware performance to specifications.

6. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced hardware engineers.

7. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

8. Participates in special projects as assigned. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline. Qualifications 5-8 years of related hardware engineering experience.

Experience installing; configuring; managing; and upgrading datacenter hardware: hardware device cable requirements and connector types; all hardware device power and cooling requirements and configuration 2. Experience installing; configuring; managing; and upgrading server hardware technologies: HP BladeSystem ; HP Proliant Rack Servers; IBM BladeCenter Desired Skills and Experience: 1. Experience installing; configuring; managing; and upgrading datacenter hardware: hardware device cable requirements and connector types; various hardware (Network; Storage; Compute) device power and cooling requirements and configuration 2.
