Develops; codes; deploys and maintains web applications and websites.

1. Provides advanced application development and technical support for customer websites.

2. May work in a consulting capacity across multiple tasks or contracts.

3. Collaborates with graphic artists to develop web page graphics that support interactive; marketing-focused content.

4. Provides technical consultation in new systems development; new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems.

5. Prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written; then designs; codes; tests; debugs and documents programs.

6. Participates in the technical design; development; testing; implementation and maintenance of website enhancements.

7. Oversees systems tests and monitors test results and corrective actions.

8. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff; and may have supervisory responsibilities.

9. May serve as a technical team or task leader.

10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

11. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; professional training or work experience. Qualifications 10-15 years of related experience in web software development.

Required Skills & Experience: 1. Demonstrated on-the-job experience designing and writing scripts such as Python; PHP or Bash Shell for the automation of installations; replication; synchronization; deployments; and configuration 2. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with image formats and conversion software development libraries on mobile technologies 3. Demonstrated on-the-job experience writing scripts to manipulate PDF documents 4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing plugins for content management system websites such as WordPress or Joomla 5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing complex web-based software applications applying capabilities such as; but not limited to XML development and development using script libraries such as Bootstrap; JQuery or DOJO 6. Demonstrated on-the-job experience in general web development with tools such as HTML; JavaScript and CSS 7. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse and Visual Studio 8. Demonstrated on-the-job experience supporting mobile web application; and database environments; including web services such as authentication; encryption; load balancing; and session management and application middleware (ex. Apache; IIS or MySQL) 9. Demonstrate on-the-job experience creating database tables and querying databases for result sets 10. Demonstrated on-the-job experience building book builder applications for tablet devices such as Windows; Android and iPad Desired Skills & Experience: 1. Demonstrated on-the-job experience using code versioning software; and performing software builds 2. Demonstrated on-the-job experience analyzing or developing designs for assigned software modules in accordance with contemporary best practices of object-oriented design to include; but not limited to; UML diagrams; design patterns; and third-party software tools 3. Demonstrated on-the-job experience architecting infrastructure for highly available; highly scalable; web-based systems 4. Demonstrated on-the-job experience performing operations and maintenance work that involves activities such as troubleshooting servers and environments; resolving user issues; and performing emergency software application maintenance 5. Demonstrated on-the-job experience with code analysis
