Designs and develops information processing hardware; computer systems and electrical components.



1. Conducts moderately complex research; design; development and testing of information processing hardware such as computer chips; circuit boards; computer systems and electrical components.

2. Designs new products and/or modifies existing products.

3. Develops technical specifications for production.

4. Analyzes hardware configuration and processing solutions.

5. Tests hardware performance to specifications.

6. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced hardware engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities.

7. Serves as liaison with clients; participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.

8. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

9. Participates in special projects as required. Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Engineering or a related technical discipline. Qualifications 8-10 years of related hardware engineering experience. BSEE; Experience in digital signal processing; with skills in basic programming; MATLAB and (desirable) xMIDAS experience



TS/SCI with Polygraph required / Chantilly/ Herndon location. The Technician shall be skilled in construction; assembly; fabrication and test of electric; electronic; and mechanical prototypes and products. The Technician shall possess the following capabilities: ? Work with more senior engineering technicians; assemblers I fabricators; mechanical designers and technical writers; take direction from an Engineer or Engineering Technician Level3 ? Conduct tests and document test results in accordance with an approved test plan ? Prepare parts lists ? Lead and communicate requirements to contractor engineering technicians; assemblers I ? fabricators; mechanical designers and technical writers ? Independently perform tests and document the tests results; following an approved test plan ? Prepare and validate parts lists ? Effectively communicate; both written and verbally; to the technical team; management and the customer concerning status of work
