Essential Functions: VMware virtualization expertise is required to support onsite activities and provide the infrastructure services required to build out and maintain the customer’s facilitiesPosition Duties and Responsibilities The Principle VMware (ESXi) Systems Engineer responsibilities will include:o Install, configure and manage VMware virtualization environment components (vSphere , vRA, vROPS, ESX, NSX)o Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environmento Ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required security standardso Develop and maintain O&S Standard Operating Procedures for VMware virtualization environmento Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the virtualization environment including Microsoft and Linux O/So Within established procedures, responds to end user requests for technical support and assistanceo Support off hour maintenance activitieso Support the Certification and Accreditation process for virtualization hosts o Gain familiarity with current data center infrastructureo Maintain current industry knowledge of development concept, practices and procedures Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience. Qualifications 8-10 years of related systems engineering experience.
