The Solutions Engineering Group in the Health and Civilian Solutions Division at General Dynamics Information Technology currently is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect, Security Operations Center. The ideal candidate will possess 8-10 years of experience in a leadership position within a Security Operations Center, and has detailed knowledge of the inner, day to day workings of a SOC. The ideal candidate will have managed a SOC, either as a Federal contractor, or as a Federal employee. This person will have a clear understanding of how to properly size, staff and manage a SOC based on the organization's size, amounts of data/assets being monitored, and risk tolerance.  This person should have subject matter expertise in SIEM implementation, as well as coordination with multiple stakeholders for the deployment of monitoring and scanning technologies. Demonstrated solutioning and/or architecting with technical proposals a must.


Education 1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

 2. Masters degree preferred.

Qualifications The successful candidate's job responsibilities include: Providing technical expertise and leadership for solutioning significant SOC opportunities ($100M+ and strategic bids) for HCSD. This person will demonstrate the leadership skills and technical and business acumen to successfully lead a capture team through a technical solution, in order to deliver on all required artifacts on schedule, and with technical excellence. This person must demonstrate exceptional oral and written communications, and has demonstrated experience building relationships with multiple key stakeholders across a large and diverse organization. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 15 years of related systems engineering experience, a 4 year degree, a CISSP, and preferably a PMP. This person must have prior experience writing technical proposals for government RFPs, as well as demonstrated experience within all phases of the capture and proposal process. This person must be team oriented, able to write technical white papers, attend security conferences as a participant or as a speaker, and provide thought leadership in the area of cyber to the larger SEG team and the organization as a whole.
