  • Manages employees engaged in the development, testing and delivery of training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives.
  • At this level, typically supervises non-exempt Instructors and exempt Training Specialists.
  • May conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
  • Oversees training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness.
  • Conducts research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Provide leadership and management for training tasks that are being performed by the contractor.
  • Prepare training documents and services that are required to support training requirements drawing input from the researchers, test engineers, systems analysts, training specialists, logisticians, and the government and applying customer training policies.
  • Supervise the activity of the Deployment/Training/User Support Specialist(s).
  • Maintain contact with the customer to insure that the training meets their needs. Lead agency wide deployment planning.
  • Develops, organizes, and conducts training and educational programs for customer personnel.

This is a possible remote work opportunity.   

Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of related experience in the development and delivery of technical training programs, including supervisory experience.
  • Must be able to pass a Public Trust Level 5 background investigation
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records highly desired
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodology highly desired
  • Experience with management of user support (help desk) personnel and processes
  • Experience with providing user support for applications in a clinical health care setting desired
  • Knowledge of the VistA electronic health record or Resource Patient Management System (RPMS) desired
  • Working knowledge of MS Team Foundation is preferred
  • An understanding of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC) is highly desired
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant technologies as required.
  • Effective management skills.
