Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems.

 Systems Engineer position on Advanced Engineering Services (AES) team providing solution development and tier 3 support for all systems on NIPR, SIPR, and CENTRIXS-K.  Solution development includes application development of custom solutions to address requirements not covered by production Consumer off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) based systems. 

Work environment is fast paced, requires the ability to work on multiple projects at once, and the ability to reprioritize based on government customer needs.


Principal Duties:

  1. Engineer/develop solutions to address government customer requirements
    • Integrate internal or 3rd party solutions with current enterprise
    • Lifecycle maintenance and/or migration of legacy systems
    • Design diagrams, workflows, systems overview, and design/implementation plans
  2. Provide tier 3 support to all tier 2 teams (network, systems administration, information security, unified communications, and field services)
  3. Develop custom applications that integrate with COTS/GOTS system and enhance customer capabilities
  4. Review and implementation of Department of Defense (DoD) STIGs/SRGs upon internal or 3rd party developed solutions
  5. Perform risk assessments of internal and 3rd party developed solutions
  6. Additional tasks as assigned
Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 2-5 years of related systems engineering experience.
