Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.

  

 1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.

 2. Installs and configures network hardware and software.

 3. Provides network troubleshooting and support.

 4. Provides technical support and training to end-users.

 5. Administers network security.

 6. Backs up file server data/disks.

 7. Provides complex server maintenance.

 8. Sets up new users and deletes old users from the network.

 9. May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.

 10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

 11. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications 3-5 years of directly related experience supporting network operations.

 •Experience with Aruba Wireless a plus.
•Strong TCP/IP experience is required
•Strong Network monitoring and troubleshooting experience is required
•Experience with Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS
•Experience with Cisco Prime.
•Experience with Cisco Nexus series switches.
•Experience with Cisco Voice over IP a plus.
•Experience with Linux a plus.
•Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with individuals across all areas and levels of the company.
•Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing as well as on the telephone and in person. Be able to document policies, procedures and work instructions.
•Possess good judgment, ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information. Be able to accept security responsibilities and administer systems with the highest degree of trust.
•Ability to work as part of team or independently, set and handle multiple tasks and priorities, and lead complex technical projects.

1. AirTight SpectraGuard Element Manager
 2. Cisco Works Lan Management Solution (CWLMS)
 3. Cisco Datacenter Network Manager (CDNM)
 4. AMX RMS Element Manager
 5. Aruba Airwave Management Platform
 6. Axel Wireless Element Manager
 7. GEMX Element Manager


DoD TS/SCI is preferred, DoD TS is required
