Provides military subject matter expertise to assigned programs.

 Provides strategic communication subject matter expertise to the Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC) Joint Public Affairs Support Element (JPASE) in support of Joint Staff Joint Force Trainer (J7), Joint Exercise Life Cycle Events (JELC), specifically to support and enable achievement of JPASE joint exercise support goals and objectives.  Provides products and services to assist JPASE in meeting the Public Affairs training needs of combatant commanders and Services through Joint Staff sponsored and supported joint training program.  Supports requests to conduct planning and provide Public Affairs representation in the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) during JELC events conducted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff Joint Trainer and supported by JPASE.  Provides non-personal services to support the JECC and its subordinate commands achieve mission accomplishment.  Provides Joint Public Affairs Support, and assists as directed in JECC deployment and redeployment activities.  Specifically, supports the deployment of JECC mission-tailored joint capability packages during exercises or real world events, develops deployment plans and processes necessary to ensure JECC personnel are properly processed for deployment requirements in support of joint exercises and deployments. Responds to requests for reach-back support from deployed JECC forces.  Drafts and updates JPASE periodic training guidance and other documents, calendar and portal artifacts.  Manages meeting and events to synchronize, de-conflict and manage JECC.  Reviews USTRANSCOM and JECC Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETL) and coordinates changes for JPASE including new Universal Joint Tasks (UJT). Review UJT List (UJTL) task in the UJTL Task Development Tool (UTDT) or subsequent system.  Assists in preparation of monthly Readiness Briefings.  Assists in the preparation of the Ready JECC Package Assumption Briefings, per the JECC battle rhythm and standard briefing template.  In addition, researches, identifies, and makes recommendations about resources required for task execution and completion; provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities; maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas, and participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications 8-10 years of related experience supporting military operations.

 Experience in any of the following strongly desired:

    Public Affairs and/or journalism experience. Military or government civilian experience assigned to a CCDR staff, subordinate Joint organization or Joint Task Force Service Component. Military, government civilian or contractor experience in training and deployment, scheduling and coordinating for military operations; Military or government civilian experience with Service and joint doctrine, to include combat support and combat service support operations; Military or government civilian experience with joint/combined staffs organization, functions and procedures; Military or government civilian experience with Joint service organizations, operations and exercises at levels comparable to Army Corps, Numbered Air Forces and Numbered Fleets;Military, government civilian or contractor experience in the preparation/conduct of seminars, study groups and map exercises for general and senior field grade officers.
