Position Description

 

The VTC Support Technician will provide support to a critical program for our Federal Law Enforcement Customer.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise and conduct video teleconferences while providing support of IP telephones, analog/digital telephones and video teleconferencing equipment
  • Operate communication terminals for both outgoing and incoming communications and take necessary actions to ensure proper operations
  • Advise on new tools and technology concerning telecommunication equipment and provide real time support to customers concerning telecommunication issues
  •  Provide technical and practical knowledge required for scheduling and managing telephone, VTC and UC meetings using customer systems
  • Troubleshoot meeting problems to include joining, conducting, or participating in phone, VTC and UC meetings
  • Perform standard system integrity and connection tests to ensure availability of all systems
 

Education Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

Qualifications  

  • 5 years of related work experience
  • CTS certification or and additional 3 years in lieu of certification
  • Expert in movement of information involving voice communications, with telephone and data communications involving digital transmission between computers, computer terminals, fax and video communications between locations
