Looking for an energetic Subject Matter Expert (SME) Deputy Team Leader that is qualified to lead the Cyber Security SME team in support of a Federal client's Enterprise Cybersecurity Program. Responsible for the policy, implementation, and oversight of the information systems security program for this high profile client.

  1. Provides leadership to assigned Division or Sector to leverage IT resources in order to improve the security of information systems.

 2. Directs the development and implementation of the information systems security program for the Division or Sector.

 3. Develops policy, program management plans and strategic documents.


4. Develops senior level white papers and point papers.

 4. Provides strategic guidance and counsel to senior management.

 5. Directs all phases of planning and accomplishment of the information systems security functions and activities of the Division or Sector and recommends final decisions on most highly controversial policy matters.

 6. Manages a team of Senior Cyber security professionals.


7. Lead or facilitate major portions of large or medium projects/tasks, or provide sole support for small projects/tasks.

 8. Gathers facts through research, interviewing, surveys, etc. to analyze the client's business, draw conclusions, prepare final reports and give presentations.

 9. Provides technical knowledge and analysis of information assurance, to include system engineering, risk management systems authorization, critical infrastructure continuity and contingency planning; security awareness and training.

 10. Familiar with statutes, regulations and current OMB, NIST and NSA guidance with respect to establishing and maintaining a Cybersecurity program.

 11. Effectively adapts to new requirements; comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change.


12. Ability to take large volumes of complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner to senior management.

 12. Participates in special projects as required.

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.


Post graduate work, such as project management certification, or master's degree preferred.


Professional certifications CISSP or CISM and PMP

Qualifications 10 years directly related experience is required

Familiarity with the Department of Energy

Familiarity with Cabinet Level work

Familiarity with White House correspondence

PMO experience preferred


US Citizen (required)

Active Top Secret or DOE "Q"
