Job Description / Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Engineer will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various Guardian Program Systems and client technologies. Senior Systems Engineers will analyze, design, develop and test Guardian systems to ensure the integration of software, hardware, reliability, maintainability, safety and other requirements in the total engineering effort.

 Other responsibilities include formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; selecting systems architecture; and preparing specifications for operating systems to ensure designs meet applicable security specifications. This individual may be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.

 Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further advance Guardian Program’s technology.

    Tier 3 Help Desk support - When the normal help desk people don't know an answer, be able to help themTrouble-shooting to support help desk - If something is supposed to work a particular way, but doesn't, figure out why.Release Configuration Management - Based on release schedules, use CM tools (SVN, Jenkins) to build and deploy release to the development, test, and production environmentEnvironment Management - Configure existing and new application environments. Entails configuring external interfaces, server settings, etc.Interface Testing - Use SOAPUI to confirm and troubleshoot interfaces to external systemsPKI - Develop an understanding of our PKI--which truststores and certificates provide which capabilities. Be able to add/update new certificates.DevOps - Automation, containers, application monitoring, etc.
Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

Need wide variety of technical analysis and trouble shooting and be very facile technically in these areas:

    LinuxSQL for RDBMSXMLSoap UIBasic networkingExcel

2-5 years of related systems engineering experience.
